Thanks to these babies, the local squirrel population now refer to my apple tree as “The Tree of Woe” and my wife seems to have a renewed respect for the hunting prowess. Inside of 100 feet, I have yet to see the pellet not go completely through the tree rats (15+)

By far the best pellet for small game. Acts like a hollow point wishes it could. leaves a big exit wound. This is the humane pellet to use. If penetration is what you are looking for this is not the pellet for you. Try the gamo rocket.
Fishy –
High quality, “You get what you pay for” type pellets. I don’t want to revel in any gory details, but these pellets are the best I’ve used at dispatching unwanted guests of the tree-dwelling bushytail type. I’m using a NitroVenom gas-piston .22 air rifle and these are a good match; I’ve been getting much better precision in my groups than with the JSB Diabolo Exact Jumbo’s I was using before.

I hate to knock down stars, but I can only relate my experience. In my Hatsan Bullboss .22, these mostly corkscrew in flight. It’s sad because they are beautiful pellets and look much nicer than the jsb pellets I’ve been using. The whole tin has perfect skirts. They just don’t like being hammered out at 1000+ fps (PCP).

I was pleasantly surprised after a poor performance by the little brother polymag (.177 caliber), which were very inconsistent regarding accuracy. now, these aren’t good enough to stack holes on top of each other from my crosman crusher, but will shoot 2″ groups at 25yds, good enough to throw at ground squirrels…if I can get time to do that. judging from the damage inflicted on various fruit, can and bottles, they will have similar impact results as the gamo red fires. if so, I will up the rating to 5 stars.
update 4/22/18: so the accuracy is still not quite up to some others I’ve tried, but if you can put one on a squirrel at 60yds, it’ll knock him right out of the tree and down for the count with a resounding wallop. I have a couple other brands/styles that I like better but these aren’t bad for a little variety.

Dropped a squirrel at 30m with one shot at the top of the shoulder, dead before it even hit the ground. I can’t decide what I like better the polymags, h&n hornet, or the gamo rocket. I can’t want for jsb hades.

I don’t know if these actually work any better than any other pellet, but they have helped me to kill four rabbits so far and I really like the cool factor. I wish I had some charts and statistics to prove that there was a more compelling reason to buy these more expensive pellets, but sorry. All I’ve got is the cool factor.

These pellets are awesome out of my gamo magnum .22. I wouldn’t advise shooting at anything to much smaller then a crow or squirrel at least if you have a magnum powered rifle because it will end up as over kill. Once you get these little missiles zeroed in they are pretty accurate and definitely devasting on any pests. They are now my new pellet crush!!

These zip right out of your gun and pack a punch. I’ve only been sighting it in with targets so I can’t wait to get the out in the field to see just how acurate they are with small game that’s mobile and unpredictable. I’ve been using the .177 version of these for some time and if they are anything like that then look out varmints.
Clifford –
As advertised. Tip… If your magazine can not accommodate the extra length of these poly tips, the tips can be easily pulled out and can then be used as hollow wad cutters.

These pellets move quite well out of my Beeman QB78 C02 rifle. Good Pest controller. I get good/great accuracy with this weapon / pellet combo. It also LOVES RWS Wadcutters (or almost any other wadcutter/Flat pellet). My rifle doesn’t appreciate Crosman offerings in any flavor…but other Air guns I have Do…you decide…These pellets are easy for my eyes to see when breech (single shot) loading my Bolt action rifles, as the pellets can be difficult to load, especially on a scoped rifle, with a small loading port. I always keep these in stock…They load quick in low light for my aging eyes, especially when in a hurry to get that squirrel or other pest around the yard in the late evening…Good Performance too, they leave a fat exit !!! I find Wadcutter/Flat nose seem to get a better grip on the rifling in quality rifles, just my .02 cents, but they always shoot well !!
Miguel Nava –
Pellets seem as though they would be accurate. After using in my crosman crusher break barrel and my model 392 I found the pellets are pretty accurate in the 392. But with the crusher they are off the mark by at least 2 inches or more. When I use the Benjamin destroyer pellets in both guns they are in groupings of less than an inch. I don’t know what makes a pellet work in one gun and not in another but this is what I found. Go figure.

Tested these along w 5 other types and brands by measuring penetration and expansion in a book. These got the LEAST penetration but equal spread to the 2nd least penetration pellet (crosman destroyer 14g). Although the polymags out weigh the crosman by 2g the crosman Destroyers had equal diameter expansion. The crosman had just a little more penetration due to the less weight which made it faster also. You do not want TOO much penetration or the projectile will pass through the varmint doing less damage. For the $ and performance the best pellet of my test for hunting is the Crosman Destroyer.
Unsatisfactory –

So far so good. Out of my Gamo raptor 22 and Crossman Redtailed 22, I can consistently hit a soup can at 70 yards. Interestingly enough it is hitting in the same place as the 14.3 grain pellets I zeroed the rifles with… No adjustment done to the scope at all! These pellets also hit with authority, definitely a big difference in the WHACK made from these than the Benjamin hollow points.
Fashion –
A very good and well balanced pellet which provides plenty of pop on impact. The pellet is excellent and is well balanced, too expensive for target shooting or plinking.

Completely satisfied, just as described, excellent!

I shoot these out of my benjamin disco and got good results and i went gooher hunting and i shot about 22 gooohers and all of the shots were in the chest or lower chest and like 2 actually crawled a couple feet and died in the holes.( i went and checked) guts were hanging out kinda gross but what else could you ask for. I took a couple shot at about 90 yards and they wen’t as accurate but when u did it its good.

It will knock the bottom of a varmint! It is MAXIMUM DESTRUCTION! I have had a pellet gun since I was a kid and never have I seen anything like this. It’s like a hollow point on a smaller scale. Go watch prairie dog hunt and it will give you an idea of what it does iguanas, mice and rats! If could post pictures I would but you wouldn’t know what I shot.. It is the REAL DEAL my friend and dangerous.

‘ve read that you need to try many different types and weights of pellets to find the one that your rifle prefers.
I tried these Predator PolyMag shorts and the Gamo Red Fire with a Gamo Maxxim Swarm 10X Gen 22 .22cal and they are both spot on, nice tight pattern. Of the two I prefer the PolyMag because they are much cleaner (very little residue/dust on your fingers, where the Red Fire are filthy) no problems with either in grouping and firing.
PolyMag will be my go to pellet.
But do to all the high praise it the price of the PolyMag continues to increase, so I will buy whichever is cheaper.

I have had bad luck with the way Amazon ships there pellets. All of my orders of pellets had to be replaced or refunded because the pellet tins were beating the hell out of each other. They were loosely packed in the box. This time I selected amazon as the supplier and it was worth it. They were $14.45 plus $5.70 for shipping. They were packaged perfectly not 1 damaged. They were encased in a foam cut out and in the box was more cushioning for softer shipping.
Now the .22 cal pellet. Shoots great out of my Crosman 1322 air pistol I use to shoot the hundreds of pocket ghophers on my property. Got a ghopher on the first shot, very accurate. Then I tested them with my Benjamin discovery. My discovery will only shoot good groups at 50 yards with JSB 18.13 gr pellets. I shot the predator polymags at 25 yards and 50 yards. At 25 yards had a couple flyers could have been the rifle. But at 50 yards a group of 5 a little bigger than a dime. Very impressed!
1st pic is what the pellet tin comes wrapped in.
2nd pic grouping at 25 yards I don’t think my pressure was in the sweet spot.
3rd pic grouping at 50 yards 5 shots. The random pellet hole above the grouping was on the first shot my dog bumped the table. My scope is sighted in for JSB 18.13 gr pellets that’s why the grouping was a bit low. But great grouping at 50 yards!
Unsatisfied –
Disappointed in the quality of these pellets more than half were damaged but the ones that were not did fly very good was happy with them do not know if I would purchase these again giving the fact that I was only able to shoot half of what I purchased.

These shoot very well. have used them up to 1oo Yards and they work very well

this is the absolute best ammo for small game and magazine use. For example the Gamo Urban 22 PCP , this is awesome ammo for small game. I highly recommend this ammo and wish I could get more- but its very expensive unfortunately. Another example of you get what you pay for. This is great ammo and you won’t be disappointed.

I was a little put off by the price of these, especially since I’ve been happily using JSB Diablos for a while now with good results. But I decided to give these a shot (lame–sorry) and see how they perform in my Gamo Big Cat .22 NP.
First thing I did was a side by side comparison of their performance versus the JSBs against raw potatoes. Using full-size potatoes I shot through each length wise and compared the results. The JSBs blasted cleanly through the potato, hard enough to deform a little against the metal backstop. The JSBs did not mushroom (they aren’t designed to), and when I sliced the potato open the wound channel was narrow and not especially nasty. The Polymags were a completely different story. They did not penetrate the potato, but instead spent all of their kinetic energy inside the potato. The wound channel was nasty, and the potato literally broke apart in large chunks near the entrance of the round. The pellet mushroomed beautifully, easily doubling in diameter, exactly as touted. Not a gimmick. Admittedly, I didn’t use ballistic gelatin but a potato seemed like a fairly reasonable substitute.
I worried that these wouldn’t be as accurate as the JSBs, so far the most accurate pellet I’ve found for my nitro piston. That’s not been the case at all. They are every bit as accurate as the JSBs at 20 meters — and possibly more so. This will vary by gun of course, but I’m more than happy with their accuracy.
I’ll spare the graphic details about their “terminal” effects in the woods but they are real crowd pleasers. I doubt I’ll use anything else again for hunting.
The one downside (at least with the one tin I’ve bought so far): there’s a pretty high rate of deformation. At least 50% of this tin had deformed skirts. I’m hoping this isn’t a manufacturing issue of some sort, but until I order a second tin and see otherwise I can’t give these five stars. Bummer, because these would be an amazing product were it not for that issue.

Great product deadly accurate

Unlike the .177 pellet, the .22 Polymags are not symmetrical. If you look at the red center, it is canted in different directions for each pellet making it difficult to zero. The .177 pellet is a tack driver, which is why I purchased the .22 version.
Luis K –
Dead center every shot. Used these to sight in a brand new Gamo Maxxim G2. They shot perfect every time.
Adekunle –
Deadly accurate hunting pellet with optimal penetration and expansion. Very good pellet but does not work in the .22 (or .25) caliber clips for the Marauders. My p-rod loves these guys but I don’t feed pellets in one at a time when I have a gun with an 8 round clip. They will load up ok in the clip and you will think you have appropriate clearance but sooner or later (most likely sooner) you will have a jammed pellet situation. My recommedation? If you are a break barrel single shot guy go with these, you will be impressed. But, if you are a PCP shooter or anything with a multi-round clip don;t wast your money, these are not going to work.
Luis K –
They practically pancake at anything over 1000fps.
Hawkins –
Arrived promptly. Packaged securely. Not accurate. Jams reloader.

The only problem I have found with these pellets is I did receive one tin that had what I would describe as an excessive amount of bent skirts. These definitely affect the accuracy, so I have been tossing them out. Most all the other brands suffer from the same problem, so it is something you have to live with if you want to shoot the softer ammo.
What I like about these pellets is the pointed tip seems to help the accuracy as well as offering plenty of stopping power. They also load easier in my break barrel than many others I have tried. I have experimented with close to a dozen different brands and configurations, and I keep coming back to these as the best for both accuracy and power. Highly recommended as long as the backsides are not distorted..

Only pellets I’ve found so far that are actually accurate out of my Benjamin Titan NP .22. I’ve only shot paper targets with them so I don’t know how effective they are on small pests or squirrels.

Knocks the crap out of squirrels … Very accurate, I get nickle size groups at 30 yards with a .22 cal Benjamin Maurader Pistol. Definitely my go to hunting pellet
Benjamin Franklin –

Packaging was great. No defects. Craftsmanship is 100%. Extremely accurate out of my Hatsan 155 .22 cal. Your go to pellet for hunting! The video and picture speak volumes of this pellet. Amazing expansion. Only pellet I use.

Most accurate pelletts i.v ever used and i.ve used a lot of them. They will penetrate a steel wash tub at 30 yars and keep going!!

In the 3 years I have owned my break-barrel Nitrogen Piston rifle, I have tried probably 7 or 8 different brands/types of ammo, and I keep going back to these. For me, in my rifle, these offer the best balance of accuracy, flat trajectory, and wallop for the effort. They are ridiculously expensive compared to a regular pellet, but then again, the damage that (was)being done to my yard and home by my little fluffy-tailed enemies is not cheap either. We live on a wooded lot with quite a mix of nut trees, and 4 years ago we reached a point where we were losing ground to these thinly disguised rats; destroying birdhouses, wrecking the garden, eating the fruit off of the trees, and even biting through the siding and trying to nest inside the walls of our house. Predator Polymags, combined with piston driven technology have changed all of that. Before using these, I used to have trouble telling if I had hit my target. These pellets will let you know with a large, resounding “pop” similar to a fastball striking a catcher’s mitt. Very few “flyers” with this brand. Happy hunting.
**********UPDATE 5-12-15**************
The second tin of these I received I had a lot of accuracy problems; so much so that I began to question if my scope was off. Reviewers who have commented about the skirt damage are right on. The next tin I received does not appear to have nearly as many deformed ones. I believe that in addition to the distorted skirt issue, these pellets are very sensitive to position in the breach, so take care when loading to make sure that the pellet seats properly. From my experience, if you are trying to bag a squirrel, don’t even bother with the damaged ones.
