The one I got was actually pretty accurate out of the box – I know not everyone might be as lucky well I’ll pretty much recommend this site for your ammo shopping

Received this in a package that had obviously been opened before and was then taped close. This was not inspiring confidence. Bullet housing itself is very well constructed and machined. Fit my 308 rifle perfectly. Put batteries in the bullet and laser was bright, appeared to be centered.
Unpacked batteries and put away. Two days later put batteries back in bullet to boresight rifle before going to the range and no laser light came out bullet tip. Double checked battery installation and confirmed it was correct, then looked down laser hole in bullet and could see the diode was in fact on and red but no laser pointer was coming out. Defective laser. returning and going to look for a better quality product.

I think this is a great tool to get you close. Just remember this doesnt fine tune anything its just to get you on paper. Plenty bright for 25 yard bore sighting. Just remember the scope should be 1 inch above the laser at 25 yards, that will get you close at 100 yards. This wont be something used very often so it doesnt bother me to have to take the batteries out after use to turn it off. Overall its a good product that does what it is supposed to do when used correctly.

Took this out of the package up on the hill side to use because of reviews saying if you put the batteries in you better use it or bring spares…. well put the batteries in the whole 10 mind those lasted at 50 yards the laser was about 1/2 inch diameter at 100 yards it was about 3/4 inch diameter no possible way to bore site it and then like I said 10 mins it died and would not work…… best tip save your money and bore site the old school way take the bolt out look through the barrel and adjust scope…. it’ll get you on paper better then this lazer ever will but the cartridges works perfectly fine

I haven’t used it as I’m worried that it will get stuck in my barrel of my M1A. I can’t even chamber it all the way without it giving resistance.
I am not sure why this is the case if it’s made for .308 calibers.

This seems quite accurate and well-built. It’s easy to use and performs its function quite well.
There’s no on/off switch meaning you have to remove the batteries when you wish to disable the laser. Something as simple as loosening the rear cap to turn it off would be better, but alas, that isn’t in the design.
I would rate it better if there was some way to turn it off without having to remove the batteries, but for the price, I guess I really can’t complain too much and the ammunitions are just perfect with great prices.

Overall a solid product, easy to use. Just unscrew the back, pop the batteries in and it’s on and working.
However, here is where I drop one star from my rating. I tested it at home and everything worked fine bright laser, fits in the bore of my rifle everything seems good. I had the batteries in the sight for less than 60 seconds to test it’s functionality. Promptly removed the batteries and was excited to get to the range to sight in my rifle the next day. Next day I get to the range, setup the rifle, get the bore sight setup, and in the bore of my rifle. Before I could get my red dot turned on the batteries were dead in the bore site. I removed the site, and batteries, replaced them thinking I maybe put them in wrong, nope batteries were dead as a doornail. Wasted trip to the range as I didn’t have spares with me.
So do yourself a favor and buy extra LR41 batteries and cartridges with this site and save yourself a wasted trip to the range like I did.

I mounted a new scope for my wife’s rifle. We used your bore site to adjust the scope right in the house. We stood at the far end of a hall and pointed at a clock on the far wall of the kitchen. Got dialed in quickly. We brought the bore site to the range to tweak the scope at 50 yards. Fortunately we did not need it because the sun was bright and the red light was not showing on the paper target. If you use this outside, use it early in the morning or later in the evening when the sun is not too bright.

two days-received on Sunday . Batteries were still fresh, placed in chamber/bore, and laser clearly visible at 25 yards (low light, just before sunset). Easy to bore sight rifle, adjust scope reticle to laser. Made zeroing rifle easier as scope was showing off eight inches high and two inches left (on 25-yd bore sighting). Certainly saves ammunition.

I’ve used other laser bore sight tools in the past. These were the type that are inserted into the end of the weapon barrel. I was never really a fan of them. This product is great however. I bought both the 5.56 and .308 size. I used the .243/.308 unit in an AR10 and a bolt action, Mossberg MVP .308. The bore sight tool, went into both chamber with no problems. The laser beam was bright, even in daylight, and was a nice small dot. One rifle had a new scope attached, that had never been zeroed. The bore sight tool got me dialed in, without problem. The tool is well made and came with batteries. Much more accurate and simpler to use than other tool. No finding the right size bore attachment, losing the tiny screws, or having the bore sight tool wiggling around and not projecting a straight beam. Price was right and shipping was fast. Nice tools

I hadn’t been to a range in many years but they are very helpful in getting you set up and giving all the information and assistance needed. Safety is a priority here. You can rent or buy the safety equipment and they rent and sell the weapons and also sell ammo. They conduct safety classes on a regular basis and you can take the Concealed Weapons class here as well. Great time.
